Hi I'm Tash, you've come here to find out a bit about me I'm guessing? I hate filling these things out, I never know what to say. Ok so my main blog Of Crochet and Life is all my crafty, baking, photography, crochet shit and recently I'd started adding makeup shit as well. Since makeup and selfies go kinda hand in hand *Millennial Alert* and I have a everyday Instagram account I started posting makeup stuff there, too among all my other varied and odd interests. However, I felt the need to separate my makeup junkie self from my crochet addict self and keep the two on two different blogs and IG accounts. So here we are! And yes, the title is a nod to Silence of the Lambs because I have a very strange sense of humor and I also like horror movies. "It rubs the lotion on its skin" to "It puts the makeup on its face"... see? I like the way it suggests society says 'put to the makeup on its face' to womankind on the whole or else its not acceptable and will be punished in some horrific way. And 'IT' (not the clown) is us, women, being an object. Is that getting too political? Whoops.

Anyway I really couldn't give a fuck about societal expectations. I also don't care for judgmental people, I couldn't give a fig about 'oh you're a girl and you're into makeup you're such a stereotype blah fucking blah', and I don't give a toss about 'you have to look a certain way to be into makeup. Ugly people can't use it... gross'. Well *hikes up literal big girl panties* I've got textured skin, I've got a dry nose that foundation doesn't stick to, I've got crooked teeth, the most hooded of hooded eyes, I don't do my hair when I put makeup on, or indeed ever unless I REALLY feel like it and can be bothered. I'm about as average an everyday human you see walking down the street as they come and I love makeup! I love wearing it, watching other people play with it (on Youtube... don't make this weird), I love collecting it, I love taking pictures of it, I just love it! And you can think whatever you want about that.... this is my space, you're in my space...respect the space.

Oh, I have also have two young boys so sitting down in front of a pretty vanity for hours to do my face is a rare opportunity. As with most things in my life I make the best of what I've got and I'm damn grateful for it!

AND for the love of Odin, OF COURSE I take a bazillion photos til I get one I want to share. I don't look like that all the time... that photo is a result of 50 selfies before it til I hit that sweet spot of angle, lighting, raised brows, bright eyes, lips in the right spot, whatever. So if you ever look at me here and think 'she's not average, she's so beautiful, I couldn't do that and look that amazing', you know, if you ever read my blog while high as a kite and therefore think I'm any of those things, then I'll hit you with a large cyber-stick from where I type. *THWACK*. Every single person on the face of this planet is beautiful. If you want to get into makeup then just go ahead and do it! It's fun! And it washes off... so who cares!
